Who is responsible for your data

Houssem Jerbi, entrepreneur individuel (EI) (27 rue des Maugis, 95110 Sannois, France) is the controller of the data collected on the Alo Transporteur website and apps. For any question or to exercise your rights: contact@alotransporteur.com.

The data we collect

• Account: email address, password (stored in a hashed form that cannot be turned back into the password), first name, last name, language; for carriers, the mobile number; if you sign in with Google or Apple, the name and email address that service sends us.
• Shipments: pickup and delivery places, name and phone number of the recipient, description, weight, categories and value of the parcel, trip updates, delivery code, photos of the parcel and proof for extras.
• Messages exchanged with the other party, reviews and problem reports.
• Payments: amounts, status and references of online payments (card data is processed by Stripe, not by us), cash recorded by the carrier.
• Carriers: display name, introduction, languages, vehicle, number plate, professional or private status, company registration number (SIRET, RNE), and for legal obligations: date of birth, address, tax residence and tax number. The documents sent for verification (identity document, driving licence, vehicle registration, insurance, company registration extract) are kept in private storage that only our team looks at. The bank account is checked by Stripe when the payment account is opened.
• Trip alerts and the device identifier for push notifications.
• Technical data: IP address, browser or device type, connection logs, for the security of the service.

Why, and on what basis

• Providing the service (account, search, booking, payment, messaging, tracking, notifications, reviews): performance of the contract.
• Legal obligations: annual reporting of carriers’ income to the tax authorities (DAC7, articles 1649 ter A to 1649 ter E du Code général des impôts, the French General Tax Code), accounting, traceability of professionals, answering the authorities.
• Security, fraud prevention, handling problems and disputes, improving the service: legitimate interest of Alo Transporteur and its users.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising and we do not sell it. If we ever send you marketing offers, it will be with your consent.

Who sees your data

The other party to the shipment: before confirmation, only your first name, the initial of your last name, your reviews and the content of the request. After confirmation, the information needed for the shipment: phone number, addresses, name and phone number of the recipient.

Our service providers, who process the data on our behalf: Railway (hosting and file storage, in the European Union), Stripe (payments and verification of carriers), Resend (emails), Expo, Apple and Google (push notifications, and sign-in if you choose it).

The authorities when the law requires it, in particular the tax authorities for the income of carriers living in the European Union.

Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers are based in the United States. These transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

When the carrier lives in Tunisia, the information needed for the shipment is shared with them because this is essential to perform the contract you asked for.

How long we keep it

• Account: as long as it is active, then 3 years without activity, before deletion.
• Shipments, payments and invoices: 10 years (accounting and tax obligations).
• Tax information of carriers: 10 years after the year reported.
• Messages: 3 years after the last shipment between the two people.
• Carriers’ verification documents: while the carrier account is open, then 6 months.
• Technical logs: 1 year.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction, its deletion, its portability or the restriction of its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and give instructions on what happens to your data after your death. Write to contact@alotransporteur.com. We answer within one month. You can also delete your account yourself from your account page.

Some data cannot be deleted while the law requires us to keep it (for example accounting data).

You can also make a complaint to the CNIL (the French data protection authority): www.cnil.fr.

Cookies

The site only uses cookies that it needs to work: the session cookie that keeps you signed in and the one that remembers your language. On the payment pages, Stripe, our payment provider, also sets its fraud-prevention cookies. They do not require consent. We use no advertising cookies and no audience measurement tools. If this changes, we will ask for your consent before placing them.

Security

Exchanges are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is limited to the people who need it. You sign in with a one-time code or with Google or Apple, with no password to remember.
